Which Rune to Draw Before a Job Interview (And How to Use It)

By Elias, Ezoteric futurist · October 15, 2026
Short answer: draw Kenaz — the torch. It stands for clarity and being seen, exactly what an interview rewards. Add Ansuz if you fear going blank (the rune of right words) and Raidho if you need momentum going in. One rune is enough; three is a crowd.

Interviews are lost long before the tricky question. They are lost in the hallway, in shallow breathing and scattered thoughts. A rune does not hypnotize the hiring manager. It gives your nervous system one physical anchor — and sixty seconds of collected attention beat an hour of rehearsed answers.

The three interview runes

1. Kenaz — the torch (your first pick)

Kenaz is fire you can carry: a spotlight, not a wildfire. It suits the moment you walk in and need to be legible — competent, calm, present. Draw it when your main risk is seeming dim or forgettable.

2. Ansuz — the voice

Ansuz belongs to Odin's breath: signal, message, the right word at the right second. Draw it when your fear is specific — blanking out, mumbling, or telling a five-minute story for a one-minute question.

3. Raidho — the wheel

Raidho is ordered movement: the commute done right, arrival with margin, rhythm instead of rush. Draw it when you tend to run late, rush answers, or interrupt.

The 3-minute ritual

  1. Trace. Draw Kenaz on the inside of your wrist, on a slip of paper, or in the air. Slowly. One line at a time.
  2. Breathe. Three slow breaths. On each exhale, silently name the rune: Ken-az.
  3. Anchor one example. Pick ONE work story in STAR shape (situation, task, action, result) and say its last line aloud once. That line is what you will land on when nerves spike.

That is the whole magic: a steady hand, a steady breath, a single finished example. Interviewers rarely remember answers; they remember the feeling of someone collected.

Wrist, pocket paper, or air. The sixty seconds of focus matter more than the surface.

Do runes guarantee the job?

No. They steady breath and speech — and that is what gets noticed.
